Strings Puppets & Stage Setup

When you thought that Strings Puppets comes in a complete set like what you had saw, you may not know, it comes in different parts. Etc head, hands, legs are all apart, costumes, hats and accessories are also by DIY.

Mr Yeo combine every parts of the them with the black strings into a live puppets, every single puppets you had seen is all combine by him. From choosing of the costumes to the accessories and props. Mr Yeo done it all by himself without anyone's help, and since he took over Sin Hoe Ping, he had made more than 80 puppets.

Even Stage setup is also all done by him, and he can handle all by himself.

Backstage & Crews

Let's peep into the backstage and have a closer look and understanding how the puppeteer and musicians work together to present a puppet show. Mr Yeo is handling 2 different instrument, at the same time singing, performing the puppets and supervising. What a busy leader he is!

New Generation Puppets

New Generation Puppets are made for entertainment for tourists and Kids, in the event that Mr Yeo is invited to perform during art festivals. He even wrote a short comedy story 'Monkey See Monkey Do', although the language used is Henghwa. But he hopes that this can bring the tourists and kids a closer gap with string puppets.

Sin Hoe Ping Jia Li Puppet Troupe the only Heng Hwa Puppet troupe in Singapore, was invited to perform at the Empress Place for 2 nights with 3 stories.

Legend stories that you had read, now live handled with traditional string puppets that will amazed you with a 'Wow'.
